Toby Steamer Chair in Oak
The Toby Steamer is a statement design piece for home and probably the most luxurious and comfortable product in the Toby Chair range. And we set quite a high bar on comfort.
Its sinuous curves mould to the form of your body to create an incredibly comfortable experience with no need for padding. It is also adjustable on two fronts: the foot can be folded up and down to adjust the leg position and the back can be angled forwards to give a more upright pose, better suited to reading. Both positions have been rigorously tested by Chris over the summer; the design has been honed and refined after hours of successful snoozing in the sunshine and at least two Robert Harris novels.
It’s a rare thing to combine such elegance and comfort. We’re very proud of this one.
Made from beautiful, sustainably sourced European Oak, every piece is individually inspected, cut, drilled & finished. Oak is a much sought after hardwood; strong, heavy & durable. We use three coats of protective teak oil specially chosen to bring out the warm honey tone of the wood and highlight the naturally beautiful grain.
Also available in Larch.
To top everything off, we highly recommend the amazing Floating Cushion, which fits neatly onto the high back of the chair and slides up an down for extra comfort.
The Toby Table is the perfect companion piece, acting as a perfect place to rest your book (and your G&T!) while you're relaxing.
Caring for Oak
The Oak range will quite happily withstand a quick rain shower, but we recommend you bring the chairs inside if bad weather is forecast. To keep your furniture in perfect condition, store it in a dry place and occasionally show it some love with a top up of protective oil - you can now buy teak oil in spray form, making it super quick and easy to coat.
All our prices include shipping to mainland UK. If you're making an enquiry from elsewhere, please get in touch at email@example.com.
We make our chairs to order, so please allow three weeks for delivery. We'll keep you updated with the order as it progresses.
